Building a Community of Potters and Skilled Craftspeople
Opened in May 2024, The Barn at the Charlotte Manser Ceramics Studios is a relaxing and welcoming space for you to come and enjoy exploring traditional, skilled crafts. With 12 pottery wheels, a large group work bench and a dedicated glazing area; we host in the perfect space to begin or expand on your pottery journey.
All pottery classes are either taught by Charlotte Manser, a 10 year experienced ceramicist with a 5 year production pottery business, or renowned guest ceramicists.
The courses/retreats and workshops available are suitable for those beginning their ceramics journey; to those more advanced and who are looking to expand their practice.
We look forward to you joining our community and exploring the creativity of clay with us!

Facilties
Apart from being adjoined to a functioning production pottery studio, we have facilities for all types of ceramic practices. These include:
12 pottery wheels
Work benches
Slab roller
Extruder
Earthenware and stoneware glazes (including all the Charlotte Manser Ceramics glazes)
Coloured decorating slips
4 kilns to allow for fast processing times
Glaze mixer
Pugmill
A ‘break out’ area with ceramic and craft literatures to enjoy
Charlotte’s personal collection of ceramics from artists worldwide to inspire.
We offer studio membership and day use of the facilites. See below for our membership/use options.
Business Workshops
Below you can find our Business workshops hosted online and in person at our Berkshire Studio. These workshops are for not online potters, but other small business owners too.
