My name is Charlotte, and I am a potter, and the founder of Charlotte Manser Ceramics, a British, independent ceramics brand. We are proud to be a sustainable, rural pottery business based in Berkshire, with an all female team. In the last two years we have tripled in turnover and scaled significantly to now having a 2600sqft pottery studio, 5 members of staff and many customers worldwide. We recently collaborated with music artist, John Legend through Etsy and have become known on social media (20K followers) for showing the reality of life at a pottery studio, often speaking about the slow craft movement and how I have grown passion into my business.
With several successful online business workshops under our belt, we are going to help you with the first step of building a successful business: building a brand bible! Throughout this 2 hr online workshop, you will understand the importance of knowing what your brand is about; the values, the word to represent you, customer base, logo, font, colour palette and in your own time you will create your Brand Guidelines which will be your Brand ‘Bible’.
Telling your brand story, building connections and creating a community is how to build a rewarding social media page. We are going to explore the various platforms available and how to share your brand on these to reach your customer base.
If you want to gain a clearer understanding of building a brand and social media then sign up through our website. If you can’t join in person, you can enjoy the recording in your own time.

How it’s made
How it’s made
All ceramics are handmade in our pottery studio in Berkshire, UK. The pottery is made in small batches of around 30 pieces and is carefully formed over a two day period. After the pieces have dried for a week, they are then fired to 1000 degrees Celsius in our kiln. We then mix the glazes from powders before dipping and pouring the ceramics to create beautiful glaze patterns. The ceramics is then fired again to 1260 degrees Celsius.
ing traditional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic, we bring an art form that’s centuries-old into the present day.
At Charlotte Manser Ceramics, we take pride in using renewable materials and practices to minimize our impact on the environment. By choosing to invest in our products, customers not only acquire one-of-a-kind pieces of pottery, but also support a small business with a mission to create a more ethical future.
