My name is Charlotte, and I am a potter, and the founder of Charlotte Manser Ceramics, a British, independent ceramics brand. We are proud to be a sustainable, rural pottery business based in Berkshire, with an all female team. In the last two years we have tripled in turnover and scaled significantly to now having a 2600sqft pottery studio, 5 members of staff and many customers worldwide. We recently collaborated with music artist, John Legend through Etsy and have become known on social media (20K followers) for showing the reality of life at a pottery studio, often speaking about the slow craft movement and how I have grown passion into my business.
I receive many requests from potters who would like to visit my studio, or have questions regarding production, my studio, wholesale and much more. Therefore, I would love to host a day just for likeminded potters at my studio to network, share ideas/skills and learn about how my business is different. Hopefully you’ll have a lovely day, meet wonderful creatives, build connections and feel inspired to further develop your practice and the craft industry as a whole.
We hosted three event for potters so far and the feedback was amazing. Everyone felt inspired, connected with other potters locally and nationally and learnt a lot.
We have had many so many requests to make an online version of this so here it is:
April 12th 2025 I will host an online version of this course through teams and in English for anyone across the world to join. The event will start at 10am GMT on April 12th 2025 and finish around 3/4pm GMT.
The event will cost £15 pp and that will provide access to the link and a follow up email with the presentation and connections you have made throughout the day.
Please reserve your space and I look forward to seeing you on the day!
Remember we are all each others support, not each others competition :)
How it’s made
How it’s made
All ceramics are handmade in our pottery studio in Berkshire, UK. The pottery is made in small batches of around 30 pieces and is carefully formed over a two day period. After the pieces have dried for a week, they are then fired to 1000 degrees Celsius in our kiln. We then mix the glazes from powders before dipping and pouring the ceramics to create beautiful glaze patterns. The ceramics is then fired again to 1260 degrees Celsius.
ing traditional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic, we bring an art form that’s centuries-old into the present day.
At Charlotte Manser Ceramics, we take pride in using renewable materials and practices to minimize our impact on the environment. By choosing to invest in our products, customers not only acquire one-of-a-kind pieces of pottery, but also support a small business with a mission to create a more ethical future.
