Myself and Sam first met about a year ago when I visited Zen Den for a much needed massage and we are now we are going to merge our skill sets to bring you a rather unique and beautiful weekend of first class clay throwing, yoga, relaxation, mediation, good wholesome food and a whole load of Zen vibes.

We are pretty sure you won’t have been on a retreat like this one before.

We have decided to hold the retreat at Evelyns Garden as this space is STUNNING! We have booked the whole site which gives us access to a plethora of stunning yurts, the open kitchen, fire pit, composting toilets and showers, along with the new Round House space where our yoga and workshops will be held.

My Ceramics studio is only a 20 minute drive from the site.

We are nestled in the wild, surrounded by hills and fields, this closeness to nature is the perfect backdrop to a unique weekend of creativity, fun and personal restoration.

This is our plan thus far, of course this might be subject to adaptation, any changes will be minor and absolutely for the best.

How it’s made

All ceramics are handmade in our pottery studio in Berkshire, UK. The pottery is made in small batches of around 30 pieces and is carefully formed over a two day period. After the pieces have dried for a week, they are then fired to 1000 degrees Celsius in our kiln. We then mix the glazes from powders before dipping and pouring the ceramics to create beautiful glaze patterns. The ceramics is then fired again to 1260 degrees Celsius.

ing traditional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic, we bring an art form that’s centuries-old into the present day.

At Charlotte Manser Ceramics, we take pride in using renewable materials and practices to minimize our impact on the environment. By choosing to invest in our products, customers not only acquire one-of-a-kind pieces of pottery, but also support a small business with a mission to create a more ethical future.

Ceramics are fired to 1260 degrees and therefore are suitable to be microwaved or washed in a dishwasher.

Each piece is unique and will have different markings within the glaze which are to be embraced.
